Scion Booth Tour – SEMA 2012

The Scion booth at SEMA was pretty hard to find if you didn’t have a floorplan because everywhere you looked there was an FR-S or BRZ. The Scion FR-S was named the Hottest Sport Compact at SEMA and judging by how many tuners chose the sporty compact as their platform it’s a well deserved award.

TRA Kyoto and the Rocket Bunny

Kei Miura has been been an underground hero within his native Osaka for many years. Outlaw kanjo racer by night and with a yancha bōsōzoku past that, even at 42 years old, he refuses to outgrow. Miura-san also happens to be the man behind TRA-Kyoto.

TRA-Kyoto are leaders in the design of body kits, embracing modern CAD design in an industry that still heavily relies on clay and foam sculpturing. Working with most major tuning shops and body kit brands within Japan, TRA-Kyoto also produce their own range of products such as the 6666 Customs range focusing mainly on the Nissan S chassis. When Miura-san turned his attention towards the car of the moment, the GT86/FR-S, few would have expected the explosion in interest that his Rocket Bunny creation would have.

With his recent debut at SEMA, Kei Miura has gone from underground hero to the man of the moment. For a high-res shot of the Rocket Bunny FR-S check out the SEMA Pictures Post #2

MSN Autos just released a list of the Top 10 Most ticketed vehicles in the United States. The list is pretty interesting on one hand, but after taking a moment to think about the results, its pretty much a useless list. For the most part, the owners of the vehicles on the most ticketed list are younger and tend to speed more often or engage in otherwise ticketable offenses.

In contrast, the least ticketed vehicles are typically (yes I’m totally stereotyping) owned by older, more mature drivers. Most of these vehicles are also domestic marques, could there be a conspiracy by the domestic auto makers to drive up sales by attempting to convince the public that if they drive one of their vehicles they’ll be less likely to be pulled over?

Top 10 Least Ticketed Vehicles

10. GMC Sierra 1500
10. Buick Lucerne
