Formula Drift Canada Demo at Driven 2015 Winnipeg

As part of the Driven 2015 tour in Winnipeg, Formula Drift Canada came out to put on a spectacular drift demo for all of those in attendance. Ben Woo, VP of Formula Drift Canada put on a great demonstration of the sport by going over the basic rules, explained how drifting is judged and went over the main techniques that drivers use to drift their vehicles. Drivers put on solo, tandem as well as triple drifts burying the fans and the venue under a thick wall of tire smoke. Based on how loud the crowd got at some points, it is safe to say they loved it.

We captured a few shots of the event which you can check out in the gallery!

Revwerks Autocross #3 at Crossiron Mills

calgary autocross

This past weekend Revwerks held their third autocross/drifting event at the Crossiron Mills parking lot. Dozens of enthusiasts from the Calgary area came out to get some of that need for speed out of their system while the more seasoned autocrossers tweaked their cars throughout the day to shave a few more tenths of a second off their times. If you have not been to one of these events and are interested, registration is normally $100 for the day and that includes refreshments and hot food (hotdogs and burgers).

If you just wanted to go and watch, there is no charge for spectators so come on down and check it out before you do some shopping. Here are a few pictures from the last event:

When is casual dress TOO casual?
A discussion on workplace dress code involving, flip flops! A forum member asks if flip flops in the office is acceptable for guys? Both sides weigh in on the matter with some providing a firm NO to the question while others say its perfectly fine. Obviously, if you’re in any customer service role you aren’t going to get away with wearing flip flops, but what if you sit at your desk all day and don’t have to deal with other people?
