After a notable absence in 2012, DTP returned to Vancouver for 2013 with a show at the Vancouver Convention Centre. It was a welcome change of venue from the outdoor show of 2011 at the Rocky Mountaineer Station as the clouds loomed above the waterfront, but the dark VCC venue made photography a wee bit more difficult.
The New York Auto Show is now over (for us anyway), the public show dates continue through till the end of the weekend at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. If you’re in NYC for the next week you should definitely drop in and check it out as there are quite a few amazing cars to see. We’ve put together our New York Auto Show Top 5 Cars list but trust me, you’ll want to see a few of those cars in person to really appreciate them. In particular, Jaguar will only be building about 30 XKR-S GTs and they have one to show off at the show.
In addition to all the amazing cars at the show, the manufacturers also employ teams of booth professionals to not only welcome you to the booth but also educate you on all the vehicles if you have any questions. We used to call them booth girls or booth babes but over the years manufacturers have moved away from scantily clad girls to well dressed,… professionals. As part of our coverage we shoot not only the cars but also the people that help present them and we’ve corralled them all together and present to you the booth professionals of the New York Auto Show.
As the LA Auto Show prepares to pack up and leave the Los Angeles Convention Center later tonight, all eyes have already shifted towards the North American International Auto Show in Detroit as automakers set to announce more new models and unveil more highly anticipated vehicles. With that said, we wanted to post this goodbye to the 2012 LA Auto Show and share with you the booth girls that worked each of the booths.
So we’ve already shared a few pictures from Driven 2012 Calgary this past weekend, and now here is a short video we put of the models working the show floor. Sorry for not getting more Dannie Riel footage in here, she was busy most of the day attending to all her fans that showed up so we didn’t want to drag her away. Instead we have quite a bit of coverage for Jennifer Nguyen during her shoot with the photographers in front of the Carrera GT. Enjoy!
The Driven 2012 Car show is less than two weeks away and the various clubs and shops are preparing to bring their best cars, trucks and bikes to the Olympic Oval to showcase all the hard work they’ve put into their rides over the winter that didn’t want to end. Well, the snow is gone and the show will be hitting town on June 9th so be sure to mark that on your calendars if you haven’t done so already.
In addition to all the hot rides and entertainment many of you are also there to meet your favorite car show models. A few of the feature models have been announced for the show, Dannie Riel who burst onto the import scene back at the SCN Calgary show will be making a return visiting us from Vancouver. Jennifer Nguyen, who you may recognize from the pages of Maxim magazine will be visiting from Toronto and finally we’ll have a local favorite Steph Ly (fun fact: she was the very first beyond model!) visiting us from Toronto as well.
Less than two weeks out, hope to see you all there!
