Slovak Security Test Brings Explosives onto Plane
January 6th, 2010
Slovakia, what the fuck? Really? Any “test” has the probability, more so likelihood, to fail. That’s the point of running a test.
Slovakian officials admitted that a failed airport security test ended up with a Slovak man unknowingly carrying hidden explosives in his luggage on a flight to Dublin.
The unwitting passenger was identified by Irish police as Stefan Gonda, a 49-year-old Slovak electrician who lives in Ireland, and ought to be pissed off to the point he can’t even smell right.
While the Slovaks blamed the incident on “a silly and unprofessional mistake,” Irish officials, security experts, and anybody with a brain in their head, says it was foolish for them to hide ACTUAL BOMB PARTS in the luggage of innocent passengers under any circumstances.
What the hell has come over law enforcement to “test” security measures by using civilians? First, the BC RCMP dancing around residential backyards, shooting things that move. Now, Slovak authorities opening our luggage and stuffing explosives inside! If you want to try and get on a plane with a gun, bomb, or any of the like - do it your fucking self. Don’t plant shit on passengers!
Slovak officials said they attached two caches of explosives onto the outside of one man’s bag. The sniffer dog found one explosive, but the police officer in charge failed to remove the second, which was not detected by the dog.
That mistake allowed 85 grams of RDX plastic explosive to travel undetected through security at Poprad-Tatry Airport onto a Danube Wings aircraft.
After being informed by the Slovaks, Irish authorities shut down a major Dublin intersection Tuesday and evacuated people from several apartment buildings as Irish army experts examined the explosive. Gonda was detained at the airport for several hours before Irish police let him go without charge.
What kinds of Neanderthal minds are at work here? I’m no security expert, but for fuck sakes, use an undercover officer or informant! They make it through security undetected and get on board, test completed - epic fail on part of the airport security. Even if the douchebag pilot gets notified and still wants to take off, the officer can flash the badge and ground the plane.
IMO, the practice of planting anything on passengers (drugs, weapons, and certainly not fucking explosives) as a means of testing security, is utterly unacceptable - zero argument. Best case scenario, the passenger is detained at the airport for hours on end until authorities pull their heads from their asses and sort out the matter. Worst case scenario, any type of mix up (or a flight to Vancouver…) could have resulted in God knows what for the passenger.
