Seven killed on Quebec roads in less than 24 hours

Yet another cyclist was fighting for his life in hospital after being struck by a vehicle on one of Quebec’s roadways. The accident occurred just after 8 p.m. Saturday on Route 117, also known as Labelle Blvd., about 92 kilometres northwest of Montreal in Val Morin.

According to Sûreté du Québec Sgt. Ann Mathieu, the male cyclist was not carrying identification, making it impossible to determine his name or age.
