Porsche’s Macan lineup is fairly robust with the Macan S, Macan Turbo, and the Macan GTS. Today they unveiled a fourth variant which will be a four-cylinder turbo motored Macan at the New York Auto Show. Porsche’s new four-cylinder engine has 2.0L of displacement and a turbo to boot. The engine produced 252hp and seems to have quite the pep being able to propel the Macan from 0-100km/h in 6.7 seconds. The motor will be matched up with Porsche’s PDK transmission which is one of the best in the industry while all that power will be sent to all four wheels giving owners ample grip in all weather conditions.

Porsche also brought along their 911R today to show to an American audience at the New York Auto Show. This is a manual only 4.0L 500 horsepower, lightened 911 R. The engine is the same one out of the GT3 RS and not detuned which means the full 500hp and 338lb/ft of torque. The motor is mated to a six speed manual transmission which sends power to the rear wheels only. On top of that, Porsche has an optional single mass flywheel which will give the engine even more responsiveness. It’ll sprint to 100kph in 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 200 mph.

Porsche also released the 718 Boxter today at the New York Auto Show. Porsche will be producing 2 variants of the 718 which includes a regular model that will utilize a 2.0L flat four turbocharged motor producing 300hp and 280lb/ft of torque, and a “S” model which gets a 2.5L flat four turbocharged motor producing 350hp and 309lb/ft of torque. When mated to Porsche’s PDK transmission, the 2.0L is capable of a 100kph sprint in 4.5 seconds while the 2.5L will do it in 4.0 seconds flat. A six speed manual transmission will be the standard transmission while the PDK is optional to customers.
