Lexus Reveals 2014 IS F-Sport Ahead of NAIAS

Lexus just released the first official pictures of the new IS ahead of the world debut in Detroit and it looks like they’ve finally taken what made the IS-F and LF-A awesome and let it trickle down to the rest of the lineup.

The all-new IS is clearly inspired by the LF-CC concept we showed you previously, featuring the new trademark spindle grill and menacing L-shaped LED DRLs on the front and slim wrap-around LED tail-lights at the back. The overall shape is a little tamer than the concept but still forms a very attractive sport sedan silhouette.

Europe will be getting the IS 250 and IS 300h, the first IS with Lexus Hybrid Drive, with both models having the new F Sport package available. The F Sport package features a very aggressive front fascia, packed with extra ventilation and a broader waistline to accommodate the sportier performance. It also borrows the “driver’s meter” from the LFA, an all-digital dashboard instrument which is visible from the comfort and security of a new, exclusive, seat design to ensure outstanding lateral holding performance.

We’ll be bringing you in-person highlights from Detroit next week!
