Hyundai Shows Off 2017 Genesis G90 in Detroit

The new big bodies Hyundai Genesis G90 is more or less a replacement for the Equus which tried to take on the likes of Mercedes Benz and Lexus’ flagship cars. The newest iteration by Hyundai debuted at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show and it is definitely making a strong statement with its muscular elegance design.

The front facia is dominated by a large chrome grill opening accented by a set of LED fog lights. Plenty of chrome trim is used on Hyundai’s premium offering. The rear lights house 3 bright S-shaped light bars on each side which help provide direct illumination. The exhaust tips are large but classy chrome single tipped openings on each side.

Hyundai plans to use their new 3.3L twin-turbocharged V-6 pumps out 365 hp and 376 lb/ft of torque. That’s no sloucher of an engine by any means, but they will also offer up a V8 motor that churns out 420 hp and 383 lb/ft of torque which is more than adequate to push this big bodied sedan around. Both engine choices will be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that adjusts to the driver’s driving style through Hyundai’s Smart Shift and Driver Control technology.

Customers wanting to get into one should be seeing the 2017 Genesis G90 hit showroom floors later this year.
