This is a great way to avoid traffic during the morning rush hour! Shave an hour off your commute if you’ve got the balls to do what these two guys are doing. If you don’t sit through the whole thing, at least catch the epic part at the 2:45 mark. I’ve always wanted to try something similar when I need to go down a one way street late at night ;)
Most crash tests that we see are conducted at 25 to 40mph. What would happen during these same tests at over triple the speeds? Most modern cars can reach these speeds, so what would happen if a concrete wall suddenly appears in the road?
Do you hate all those product unboxing videos that tell you absolutely nothing about the product? Well, then you might just hate this video too. Adam Frucci from Gizmodo unboxes the 2012 Toyota Yaris.
What do you do when you have a successful TV program? You create countless spin off shows to milk every little bit of success from it. Local variations of the original Top Gear series have been made in Australia, China, Russia, Turkey and the USA. Top Gear Korea will debut sometime this year.
The BBC has decided that the next spinoff will be aimed at the younger audience, here is a quick preview of My Little Top Gear. ;)
A Gatineau, Quebec bus driver is being investigated by the STO (Societe de transport de l’Outaouais) after a video was posted on YouTube showing him filling out forms while driving. No charges will be laid by police because of this incident because there are no “distracted driver” laws in Quebec.
Before capturing this vid, the bus driver was talking on his cell phone. I’ve had too many bad experiences with STO. Some involving my 5 year old daughter and others alone. -jaimisbb (youtube)
Porsche teases the next generation 911 doing some hot weather testing in South Africa. The interior is under heavy fabric camouflage but a more panamera-esque center console is visible and if you look closely enough, it appears that rumors of a 7-speed manual gearbox may indeed be true.
Not something you expect to see when you’re at the beach in the Dominican Republic, but Red Bull is not known to put on stuff we all expect! If you recall, this is from the same guys that brought us the F1 car on ice to celebrate the return of the Canadian Grand Prix.
A few weeks ago we posted Audi’s “Friendly Competition” ad spot where they made fun of BMW by pointing out they always fall short when compared to Audi’s vehicles. Today we have BMW’s response. You can judge for yourself if this was a great response, but in our opinion we think Audi wins this round.
It appears that Audi is resuming its marketing war against BMW. If you recall, during the first round the two automakers took jabs at each other in magazine ads which progressed to the large “checkmate” billboard ads. Now, Audi restarts the war with its latest punch. I can’t wait to see how BMW responds.
