Apple is set to open another new Canadian retail store. The Calgary location will be located at Market Mall and will be opening its doors this weekend, on Saturday, September 27. As with all Apple store grand openings be prepared for the throngs of apple fanboys (and girls) lining up at the store for absolutely no reason.

“We have been monitoring other Apple store openings in the country and expect that there will be a significant number of very anxious customers who will want to visit the Apple store,” said Jane Dorsett, general manager at Market Mall, adding security staff at the popular northwest Calgary shopping centre are familiar with managing large crowds at new store openings.

She said Market Mall opened the city’s first H&M last year and at that time there were lineups of more than 500 people.

“Our security staff are preparing for significant lineups when the Apple store at Market Mall opens,” Dorsett said.

The new store will be located across from the H&M and without a doubt will look like all the other Apple stores around the world with the oak tables lined with MacBooks, iPods and iPhones. All the latest products will be available for customers to test drive including the all new iPod Nano and the second generation iPod Touch. The iPhone 3G will of course be available for everyone to play with even though everyone and their dogs already own one.
