If you haven’t noticed, Buick has been trying to reinvent itself as of late going after the younger market. In Detroit, they not only introduced us to the Envision crossover, but they also brought out a really great looking coupe concept they are calling the Avista.

It is a rear-wheel drive with a 3.0L twin turbo V6 with 400 horsepower and is built on the same platform as the Camaro/ATS/CTS. The Avista Concept features GM’s magnetic ride control suspension and cabin sound isolation technology. We weren’t able to get any shots of the interior but there is nary a button in there with every surface covered in touchscreens and infotainment displays. Not that it matters, since its a concept none of this stuff would make it into production.

The last time Buick had a sporty rear wheel drive coupe was the Buick Grand National, could the Avista Concept be a return to those glory days? I guess we’ll see.
