2015 Scion FR-S Gets A Few Tweaks And New Paint

Scion has improved the handling of the 2015 by making a few suspension tweaks including stiffening the front and re-tuning of the rear shocks. The result is less body roll and a more responsive and communicative driving experience. A sleeker shark fin antenna replaces the pole antenna found on the pre-2015 FR-S for a more modern look (oh and it apparently is more aerodynamic too). An automatic headlight mode has been added and new larger exhaust tips that sit more flush with the rear bumper complete the exterior changes. On the inside not much has changed except for an updated interior panel with faux carbon fiber. Scion has also changed the design of the key itself, ahh the little details.

“We’re happy to bring the FR-S and tC into a new model year with features and prices that will excite our customers,” Scion Vice President Doug Murtha said. “These two siblings come ready for drivers to make them their own and conquer new roads wherever they go.”

For those that were thinking of getting a white FR-S, you may want to make note of the change in white paint. The 2014 Whiteout paint has been replaced with Halo, a pearl white and Argento silver has been replaced by a new silver called Steel. The new Halo white looks a bit warmer than Whiteout while the new Steel silver looks like it is a cooler hue. You can see the new colors in the gallery below.

The 2015 Scion tC also gets a few minor updates. 2015 tCs with equipped with automatic transmissions will now get steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. As with the FR-S, the 2015 Scion tC is also getting a couple changes to the paint choices. Cosmic Gray will replace Classic Silver, and Super White has been replaced with Blizzard Pearl.
