2015 Porsche Macan at NAIAS

The Porsche Macan debut last year at the LA Auto Show, but we shot a few more pictures of the Macan Turbo today here in Detroit at NAIAS 2014 after leaving the Mercedes-Benz GLA45 debut just to compare the two again. Power wise, the GLA45 settles in right between the two trims that the Macan will be offered in but pricing on the AMG is not available yet. Looking at the side profile, the Porsche Macan has the exact shape of the Audi Shooting Brake concept that was also revealed earlier today.

If you need a recap, The Macan S will be powered by a 3.0L twin-turbo V6 delivering 340 horsepower which is a touch more than the base Cayenne but less than the Cayenne S. The Macan Turbo is equipped with a 3.6L twin-turbo V6 that boosts output up to 400 horsepower. The Macan Turbo is the first vehicle to offer the 3.6L twin turbo motor. The Macan S can make the 0-60 sprint in 5.0s with the sport-chrono package (5.2s without) and the Macan Turbo drops that to 4.4s with the sport-chrono package (4.6s without). Both models come with standard all-wheel drive and the Porsche PDK seven-speed double-clutch transmission. Stopping power for both models are provided by beefy 6-piston calipers wrapped around 13.8″ rotors on the Macan S and 14.2″ rotors on the Macan Turbo.
