2014 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S

Porsche has rounded out the redesigned Cayenne lineup with the launch of the flagship 2013 Cayenne Turbo S.

The Cayenne Turbo S sat quietly in the Porsche booth with none of the pomp or circumstance it deserved. While other manufacturers built lavish displays and had detailed presentations by top executives, Porsche simply put their vehicles on display and let them speak for themselves.

So what did the new Cayenne have to say? Well the obvious differences between it and the standard Turbo are an extra 50 horsepower and 40 ft/lb of torque. This gets the Turbo S from 0-60 in 4.3 seconds up to a top speed of 175 mph, figures that few sports cars can match, let alone full-size SUVs. All that power goes through the same 8 speed transmission and same all wheel drive system as the Turbo, as well as a host of standard performance features which are optional on the Turbo. The only other real differentiators are the gloss black accents on the interior and quad exhaust tips on the back.

I imagine the smile on the driver’s face may also be one size bigger than the standard Turbo, but Porsche was unable to confirm.
