Chrysler Targets Younger Crowd with Town and Country SPosted by: Kenny Chan onNovember 30th, 2012
With the introduction of the Town and Country S minivan here at the LA Auto Show, Chrysler is targeting the “active and style minded” consumers with more modern styling cues. In other words, black. Need more black. Let’s start with the black chrome grill up front and the black background chrysler logos on the front and rear. Out back the rear fascia step pad is, you guessed it, black.
Inside the “modern” black theme continues with a monotone black interior that is unique to the Town and Country S. Exclusive black leather seats adorned with an embroidered “S” logo on the seat backs look great with the grey stitching. The black background chrysler logo found on the outside is also present on the steering wheel. Piano black gloss panels are found in the instrument cluster and on the spokes of the leather wrapped steering wheel. The headliner is not surprisingly also black. If all the black doesn’t set this S model apart, owners will be reminded of the fact with an “S” logo in the instrument cluster.
If you’ve read this far, congratulations! That’s not too bad you’ve stayed interested in a new minivan. I’ll reward your continued attention with some specs. A 3.6L V6 can be found under the hood pumping out 283hp and 260 ft/lb of torque. Power is delivered through a 6 speed automatic. An optional dual clutch transmission brings lightning quic… just kidding. It’s a minivan folks.
