2008 Top 10 Most (and Least) Stolen Cars
December 19th, 2008The number crunchers have finished and this years Top 10 Most Stolen Cars list has just been released by the Insurance Bureau of Canada. Honda Civic SiR owners will not be happy as their vehicles take the top 2 spots. Interestingly enough, no Ford trucks are on the list and they are usually amongst the most common vehicles that are stolen. On the Top 10 Least Stolen Cars list, Toyota has three vehicles.
Hopefully with the Bait Car program being launched by the Calgary Police Service, the number of stolen vehicles will begin a downward trend here in the city.
If you’re looking for a vehicle with lower insurance rates, you’ll want to stay away from the ones in the first list and instead pick up something from the Least Stolen list. You’ll save a few bucks on insurance AND your car will be there when you need it! Of course you’ll be driving something that even thieves don’t even want to bother with, but hey you can’t win them all. :P

I recently was told Toyota is considering recalling most vehicles with acceleration issues . My next door neighbor has one, can the car be driven before the repair?
